Accutek offers an optimal solution for welding procedure
and welder qualification

Weld Coupons - Tensile & Bend
Many companies have well-established welding programs and procedures with a Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) on staff. However, other organizations have the need to develop new welding procedures and establish new welding qualification programs.
How Accutek can help
Accutek’s Certified Weld Inspectors provide the knowledge and experience to ensure accurate and timely completion of welding and welder qualification with your existing procedures. If no procedures are in place, Accutek can support the development of these documents within your organization.
Accutek performs all common weld joint evaluation tests in house, including: tensile testing, root bend, face bend, side bend, fracture test, and macroetch inspection. Our NIST certified Charpy “V” Notch Impact Tester can fulfill your required impact strength testing requirements, while our metallography team offers a full spectrum of hardness testing options.
Accutek Welding Procedure and Qualification Solutions include:

Welder Qualification
- Welding Procedure Specification (WPS): A document that defines how a welding process is to be performed. Unsure about the details? Accutek can help select filler metals, electrodes, shielding gases, welding machines, and machine settings that conform to produce high-quality weld joints.
- Welding Procedure Qualification Record (PQR): A certified document describing a welding procedure test and its associated lab test results. Work with Accutek to determine the correct weld test joint, administer the weld test, record essential variables, and perform the required lab tests to qualify your welding procedures.
- Welder Qualification: Essentially an “insurance policy” to verify your welders perform in accordance with international quality standards. Accutek helps you define which tests a welder must take, and what lab tests must be performed to satisfy the governing codes or specifications.
- Welder Performance Qualification Record (WPQR): A certified document describing a welder qualification test, its associated lab test results, and a summary of the range of parameters for which a welder has successfully qualified. Accutek produces WPQR documents that prove your welders are qualified for the job.
Accutek is experienced in a variety of relevant international quality standards such as ASME, AWS and more. Selected Inspection & Qualification Capabilities
