For the past 3 years I have heard the company buzz about Accutek’s “biggest” tradeshow of the year – the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons or “AAOS”. This year I had the opportunity to experience it myself.
Accutek has offered testing services to the orthopaedic industry for the past 25 years and exhibited at AAOS for the past eight. Over the years, we have seen many companies grow from start-ups in the “First Time Exhibitor” area to some of the more prevalent names in the orthopedic device industry in the gargantuan booths.
While our Engineering Team might write about the latest innovations at this year’s conference, I, as a first time attendee and Marketing Coordinator, had a different experience. Some highlights of the show were:
• Meeting and catching up with some of the clients we regularly work with
• Walking the show floor hoping to meet our next new client
• Showcasing Accutek’s ProAgility MC4 Axial-Torsional Test Frame
• Checking out some of the innovative booth designs. My favorite booth was Zimmer
AAOS 2012 has set the standard high for the rest of Accutek’s Tradeshow season. We look forward to seeing our friends in the medical device and orthopedic implants industry again at Spineweek 2012 in May in Amsterdam.
