Brian Wood has been a valued employee at Accutek for 8 months. Inside the office, he is somewhat of a renaissance man. Brian performs a variety of tasks around Accutek including maintenance, working in the machine shop, and assisting our CWI’s with their weld tests.
Outside of the office, he is a happy newlywed to his wife Christian and a loving father to their two children. His favorite activity is taking his family to cheer on the local Cincinnati sport teams: the Reds and Bengals (Who Dey!).
When asked what he likes best about being an Accutek employee he said he likes “having a steady schedule that allows me to plan for a life outside of work with my family. I also like working in the machine shop, using the different machines, and seeing a finished product”.
Brian is a great example of why Accutek has been nominated as one of the best places to work in Cincinnati for three consecutive years. He gets excited about coming to work and can see the opportunities he has to develop professionally at Accutek.
Interesting Facts about Brian:
• Family Tradition: Brian has traveled to Hilton Head Island with his family every year since he was one month old, and will continue the tradition with his sons.
• Biggest Pet Peeve: Blue jeans. Brian does not own a single pair of jeans.
• Personal Preference: Spiderman or Batman? “Batman, he lives a better lifestyle and drives a cool car”.
• Childhood Memory: Brian will never forget missing Game 1 of the 1990 World Series. Brian had to stay with a babysitter while his family attended, but he hopes to finally be able to see the Reds in a World Series Game this year (2012).
